Cricketers Who Never Won a World Cup: The International Cricket Council (ICC) hosts several prestigious tournaments, including the ODI World Cup held every four years. In addition to this, ICC also organizes the T20 World Cup and the ICC Champions Trophy.

Securing an ICC title is a momentous achievement for any nation. Since 2019, the World Test Championship has also gained prominence as another significant ICC tournament.

ICC has successfully conducted eight editions of the Champions Trophy, six editions of the T20 World Cup, with the seventh edition currently underway, and 12 editions of the ODI World Cup.

Despite these opportunities, there are legendary players who, remarkably, have never clinched an ICC tournament title. Today, we will introduce you to a playing eleven comprising such cricketing legends.

Cricketers Who Never Won a World Cup(Top 10)

Brendon McCullum: McCullum represented New Zealand in multiple Champions Trophy and World Cup editions but never secured a tournament victory. Under his captaincy, New Zealand reached the final of the 2015 World Cup.

Graeme Smith: The former South African cricketer and captain participated in several Champions Trophy, T20 World Cups, and ODI World Cups but couldn’t achieve victory in any of these tournaments.

Kane Williamson: The current captain of New Zealand’s team participated in multiple Champions Trophy, T20 World Cups, and ODI World Cups but fell short of victory each time.

Mohammad Yusuf: The veteran Pakistani batsman took part in numerous Champions Trophy and ODI World Cup editions, but Pakistan didn’t secure any titles during his tenure.

AB de Villiers: Known as Mr. 360 Degree, de Villiers played in several Champions Trophy, T20 World Cups, and ODI World Cups but faced disappointment in every World Cup.

Andrew Flintoff: The legendary England all-rounder participated in various Champions Trophy, ODI World Cups, and the T20 World Cup but couldn’t secure victory in any of them.

Shakib Al Hasan: Shakib represented Bangladesh in multiple Champions Trophy and ODI World Cups and is also part of this year’s T20 World Cup but has not claimed any ICC titles.

Daniel Vettori: Vettori was part of New Zealand’s team in numerous Champions Trophy, T20 World Cups, and ODI World Cups but didn’t secure a tournament victory.

Dale Steyn: Steyn, a prominent South African fast bowler, participated in the Champions Trophy, T20 World Cups, and ODI World Cups but couldn’t secure an ICC title.

Trent Boult: The fast bowler from New Zealand took part in the Champions Trophy, T20 World Cup, and ODI World Cup editions but has not claimed an ICC title yet.
